We launched out of the Saugatuck River at around 3:30PM yesterday and immediately saw some bait breaking, but didn't hook up on anything while throwing the assassin and flies. We then made our way out to Cockenoe island, and beached the yaks, lit a couple stogies, and fishing the sand bar there. My buddy had picked up a schoolie striper on the way out, around a rock pile, on a fly, but I was still fishless.
